Harlan Ellison not happy with WGA deal
My guess is they've pushed for a deal that encompasses the principles of the recent DGA settlement and, although that doesn't go as far as the WGA (or Whedon) would like, the WGA recognizes that it's such a big step in the right direction that it's the right place to cave, and that the studios are unlikely to give

Somehow, that also means I make 40-50x what the "average" WGA member makes. Well, which is it? Eight, forty, or fifty times? I forgot. No WGA, nothing. There are products (freeware) that just have them all rolled up. There are posts in Google Groups on occassion that list the direct download links for every patch since SP2. An hour a month "effort", each month - if you have dial-up and the patch is not some enormous service pack sized thing.
